Before you order
Home sauna installation: measure twice, buy once.
A sauna can fit on a product page and still not fit through your door — or on your electrical panel.
Space and delivery
- Record assembled exterior dimensions and required clearances.
- Compare interior bench dimensions with the bodies that will actually use it.
- Measure the entire delivery route: driveway, gates, doors, elevators, stairs and turns.
- Check floor requirements and whether the location tolerates heat and moisture.
Electrical
Never infer electrical needs from sauna category alone. Verify the exact model's voltage, amperage, plug/receptacle, dedicated circuit and hardwiring requirements. Larger traditional heaters commonly need professional electrical work; some compact infrared cabins may use standard-style receptacles.
Outdoor considerations
Think about foundation, drainage, weather exposure, roof/snow/wind loads where relevant, local setbacks, permits and the cost of running power to the site.
Budget beyond sticker price
Freight, lift-gate service, electrician work, floor/base preparation, assembly, accessories and future heater/electronics replacement can materially change total cost.
Always follow the manufacturer's installation manual and applicable local electrical/building requirements. Hire qualified trades when required.
